For the first time in almost 2 years, I skipped my weekly newsletters.
And it was totally ok. I used to put a lot of pressure on me to stay consistent and write every week. The past weeks have been very busy, I did a lot of “never-done-before” thing. Time was precious and I decided to dedicate my time differently. I was still producing content, but differently.
I’m still a big fan of writing.
I just discovered a new way to share and educate by creating webinars and web events.
And I realized that I loved it!
I knew for years that video was a powerful format.
Why did I postponed for years using the video format?
Honestly, I don’t know.
What I know is that it was the good time for me.
I had to do something bigger and expand in order to help more people deal with the incredible situation we are facing.
I don’t know why I postponed it but I know that this crisis forced me to overcome my fear or laziness and to tackle this new challenge.
So many people are left behind with this crisis.
For the first weeks after the beginning of the lockdown I was obsessed by the numbers, watching the news, looking for datas to better understand what was going on.
I had to do something.
As a career and life coach, I decided to create content for people looking for reinvention and career change. Because we are going through an unprecedented situation and we ALL need to find our place in this new world.
I found mine almost 3 years ago and it came from a very painful and sad event. It changed my life and I had no way to come back to who I was before. Coaching was my calling at this time and I realize today that it is more than that. I had to go through grief and desperation to realize that I was lucky to be alive. I decided to stop complaining and to honor the memory of my son by devoting my soul, my life, my career to help humanity evolve and advance.
How I do that evolve every day, from coaching to teaching to creating content. Every step I do, each people I help, are big wins. I don’t care about fame or success. I am happy with what I do and I found my place. Because what I do has an impact. An impact on my family, on my daughters, on my friends, on my clients, on the world.
How can you impact the world in a positive way?
I am a true believer that you attract the energy you put out. It’s like a boomerang. You treat others the way you want others to treat you.
I share with you some tips and insights and I invite you to pick at least one this week and do it.
-
Smile: Start your day with a smile.
When you are sad, smile and let the positive energy come back.
When you see someone in a street, smile to this person (no excuses, even with a mask we see your eyes smiling).
-
Give More
Giving feels good. Generous people report being happier, healthier, and more satisfied with life than those who don’t give. If you go to a restaurant and you usually give 15% of tip, give 20%.
If money is short now, give time – spend more time with your family, your child, your friends.
-
Help others
One of the most effective antidotes for non-generosity is to make space in your life for those who actually need your help. One of the easiest ways to accomplish this is to volunteer one meal at your local homeless shelter.
-
Surprise someone you love
Do something sweet for your friends on occasion – and it can just be because you think of them and you want them smile and feel loved.
If you live with someone, it can be as simple as taking care of a core usually done by her or him (cooking, doing the laundry, dressing up the kids).
“A random act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a tremendous impact on someone else’s life.”
– Roy T. Bennet
It is the beginning of a big shift and most of us were not ready for it.
But ready or not, we have no choice but to adapt.
Your actions have an impact, it is up to you to decide if you want to have a positive or negative impact on the world around you.
I also want to tell you that I am here to support you emotionally.
